City and travel

Districts

The city is split into districts: Downtown, Harbor, Hillside and West Island. Each has its own streets and buildings. You will find your way around quickly with the Map below.

The Map

Press M to open the Map. It is its own full screen, not a tablet app. Press M again, Tab or Escape to close it (gamepad: D-pad Left).

Move around the map with W / A / S / D or the arrow keys. + and - zoom. C or Space centres the view on you. Home frames the whole map.

Categories. Use the category list to choose what the map shows:

• Companies (your warehouse)
• Properties
• Cargo Offices
• Wholesalers
• Customers
• City Locations
• Bus Stops

Show all and Hide all switch every category at once. Customers of your delivery orders stay visible either way. Your vehicles show under Vehicles, and they are hidden when you filter to Properties. The Whole map button only frames the whole map. The game remembers your category choices until you quit.

Legend. The legend explains the colours: Road, Building, Park / grass, Beach, Water, Route and Waypoint.

Search. Type in the search box to find a place. Ctrl+F jumps to the search box.

Waypoints. Left click an empty spot on the map to set a waypoint. Right click clears it. When you select a place, its card offers Set waypoint or Clear waypoint, and Waypoint to nearest bus stop. Press Enter to run the card's main action. A waypoint on a customer follows that customer when they walk.

The bus

Bus stops are all over the city. Walk up to one and press E to open Bus travel.

1. The stop you stand at says You are here.
2. Every other stop shows Fare: {amount}. The fare depends on distance, and long rides stop growing at a cap.
3. Pick a stop and press Travel (or Enter). The fare is paid first, then you ride.

On the map, a bus stop's tooltip shows Nearest stop, Near this stop, Nothing else nearby or "+N more", so you can see what is close to a stop. When a goal is far away, the guide can suggest the bus if it saves you walking.

Businesses you can visit

Not every business is a building with a person inside. Some are stands, machines or zones. The main ones:

• Registration Office, where you found and manage your company.
• Car Dealer, Car Mechanic and Fuel Station, see Vehicles.
• Cargo Offices and Wholesalers, with their own map categories.
• Currency Exchange, an ATM where you buy BizCoin and Gold. It is not a general money changer.
• Second-Hand Shop. Its screen says Your items, and you press Sell next to an item.
• International Courier. You can send items only while the ship is in port.
• Clothing Shop, Fast Food stand and Clinic, described below.
• Estate Agent, see Home and rental.
• Museum, see Museum.

Press B for the tablet and open Shops to buy from the stores and services without walking there.

Registration Office

Talk to the Company Registrar with E. The screen lists company types and a status for each: Founded, Not founded or Soon.

• Types marked Soon are not open yet: "This company type opens soon."
• For an open type, press Register. The screen says "Register {type} for {price}."
• Fill in Company name (up to 32 characters), Motto (up to 38), Color and Logo. If the name is empty you get "Enter a company name."
• Later, use Save changes to edit your company. A normal company can also be suspended.

The eCommerce Company is open now. The Museum is founded in its own way (see Museum). The other types, Real Estate, Rent a Car, Crypto Mining and Manufacturing, are marked Soon.

In the tablet, the Companies app shows your companies.

Shop locks

Some services need something first. You will see:

• "Get a warehouse first to buy from this store."
• "Get a house first to buy from this store."
• "Found a company first to use this service."
• "This service is for registered companies. Register your company first."
• "Reach level {N} to buy this." on a single product.

The Clothing Shop and the Company Registrar are open even without a registered company.

Clothing Shop

Change how your character looks. Walk in and talk to the clerk.

Sections: Brows, Hair, Upper Body, Lower Body, Shirts, Tights, Shoes, Glasses, Hats and Aprons. Use the filter All or Unlocked. Press Switch to {gender} to change between male and female looks.

Try on and buy. Pick a piece to try it on. It is tagged Trying on, and what you already wear is tagged Wearing. The basket on the side lists your try-ons: "Try a piece on to add it here." Remember "Changes apply after purchase." Press Undo to take back the last try-on or Undo all to clear everything. When you are happy, press Buy. If you leave without buying, the game puts your old clothes back.

Preview. Drag the character to turn it, use the wheel to zoom, or use Turn left and Turn right.

Keys:

On a gamepad: LT / RT, LB / RB, X, Y and B.

The shop has no colour pickers. Hair colour and skin tone are in character creation.

Fast Food

The Fast Food stand has a Menu list. Each item shows its Satiety. Press Buy and the item goes into your inventory. You eat it later from your hotbar. You need a free slot to buy. Food that is not fresh is refused.

Clinic

Standing in the clinic's healing zone heals you by itself. A counter also sells Medical supplies. Right now it sells bandage type items only.

Places to sit

Look at a seat and you see Sit or Lie down. If someone else is there it says Taken. When you sit, the prompt becomes Stand up or Get up.

Tips

• Open the map before you leave. A waypoint and the route line save a lot of wandering.
• Use the search box instead of scrolling the map.
• Check the lock messages before you walk to a shop. They tell you what to get first.
• For a faraway place, use Waypoint to nearest bus stop and take the bus.
