Privacy Policy

Biztopia runs through Steam. Valve handles your Steam account and payment data. We do not see it.

Your save games stay on your computer.

If you keep "Publish my store on the website" switched on in the game, we show your store on this website: company name, logo, slogan, reputation, products with prices and stock, and a summary of your museum.

To check that a store belongs to you, our server keeps your Steam ID. It is never shown anywhere on this website. We do not store or log IP addresses of these requests.

If you switch the setting off, your store is taken off the website right away. We keep the record, so the store comes back if you switch the setting on again. To ask us to remove your store data, write to us (see Contact).

Co-op lobbies, voice chat, achievements and leaderboards use Epic Online Services (EOS). EOS identifies you by an EOS ProductUserId. Your Steam ID and Steam name are not sent to EOS.

EOS Metrics also records basic session measurements: the number of game sessions, how long they last and the platform. Epic's own privacy policy applies to data that EOS processes.

When the game crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to our own Sentry server. We use it only for fixing bugs. There are no ads and no tracking.

A report holds the game version, the environment, technical information about your device and operating system, and recent game log lines. So that we can tell which player had a problem, it also carries your Steam ID and Steam name, or your EOS ProductUserId, and a random install ID. It does not carry your IP address, and it does not carry your Windows user name or computer name.

The game also sends some anonymous performance and progress measurements, tied to random session and world IDs but not to your Steam ID or name. Diagnostics can be switched off in the game.

This website sets no cookies and has no analytics, ads, accounts, newsletter or sign-up forms. Its fonts are served from our own server.

Some news posts embed a YouTube video. That video loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) only on posts that include one, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to it.

The website is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests to serve the pages.

Links to platforms such as TikTok only exist so that we can publish content from our own accounts. We do not collect player or visitor data through them.

You can switch off store publishing in the game at any time.

You can write to us to ask for your store to be removed. Data held by Valve (Steam) or Epic (EOS) is handled by them under their own policies.

We may update this page when the game or website changes. The date at the top shows the latest update.
