Daily Update 10
Hi everyone!
The first daily update since the museum update is here. This time it's packed with polish and fixes:
Museum
- Your museum now shows up on biztopiagame.com: your store profile and the Museums page list how many artifacts you've placed, their rarity breakdown, popularity and ticket prices.
- If you haven't changed your company name, the site now shows the default name in English, and the default motto is no longer shown.
- The Monsoon Parcel Chest artifact has been remade from scratch with a cleaner model.
- Missing sounds have been added to the museum: the rarity shine, milestone steps, founding the museum, picking up a box and collecting from the till now all have sound.
- Some artifacts now sit the right way: the abacus beads face the visitor, and the combs and pocket watches lie flat in the display case.
- Visitors now tour the museum in one direction, so they rarely run into each other in the corridors and wait for each other to pass.
- Visitors no longer get stuck in the corners of the back hall and cut their tour short.
- Visitors now walk around the pillar at the entrance instead of leaving without stopping at the ticket desk.
- Mystery boxes and artifacts you drop on the museum floor now stay where you left them after you save.
- The mystery box now has its own icon in the inventory, and the spots for small artifacts are easier to see when you place them in a display case.
Employees and business
- Employees no longer keep retrying a box they can't reach; they move on to other work instead. This was one of the reasons behind the "employees are idle" notification.
- Candidates in the hiring list now have names that fit the game's language (27 languages). The names of employees you've already hired don't change.
- The cargo page now shows the estimated arrival time.
- At the Marketing Agency, the campaign Length value is no longer cut off, and the window icon is back. The Package row in the campaign form is no longer cut off at 720p (in Russian and German) either.
- Pallets you're holding no longer float in the air after the game loads.
- Long item names in the store tablet (like in German and Dutch) no longer spill out of the detail panel.
Controller
- You can now reach every counter, shop and tablet control with the D-pad (including the bottom rows of the end of day screen and the Save and Next Day buttons). The B button closes windows.
- Button prompts now follow the device you used last: you won't see controller buttons while you're using the keyboard.
- The new game and character creation screens can now be used with a controller from start to finish. In confirmation windows, focus starts on the right button, A selects and B goes back.
- On the Settings page, controller focus now stays on the right row when you move from the web profile to the "Show my store on the website" row.
City
- Pedestrians no longer pace back and forth in sidewalk nooks and on corners. They now choose their route before they reach a busy crosswalk.
- Bus stops and roadside trees now stop vehicles, so you can no longer drive through them.
- Fixed the hint bar at the bottom of the map flickering when you switch between keyboard and controller.
Co-op
- Fixed the host's vehicle flipping over on the screen of a player who joins later while the host is in the vehicle.
- For co-op, everyone needs to update their game to this version.
Sound
- Sitting down and standing up, the car dealer and firing an employee now have sound.
Balance
- The money reward for replying to emails grew too large at high levels. The level multiplier cap has been lowered from 20x to 5x. Gold, reputation and BizCoin rewards stay the same.
Thanks for all your feedback, we're keeping an eye on Discord and the forum. If you spot a problem, don't forget to let us know!
